The Long Range Planning Committee is comprised of individuals from the community
who represent the diversity and multifaceted interests within Northwest ISD, including parents, grandparents and non-parents, teachers and district staff, community leaders, business owners and more.

The LRPC usually meets twice a year and will meet more frequently if they feel a bond referendum is needed to address the growth and facility needs. In the 2016-2017 school year, the LRPC met eight times over the span of four months to collectively study and prioritize NISD’s facility needs. The group came to consensus on a recommendation that was delivered to the Board of Trustees on January 23, 2017.

District staff members and district consultants aid the Committee and serve as information providers.
